relief. resilience. growth.
William Lane, LISW-CP
Clinical social worker providing therapy to adults seeking support for issues related to trauma, anxiety, depression, and stress.

I completed my graduate studies at the Georgia State University School of Social Work. Upon completing my MSW, I spent my early career providing supportive services to clients living with acute social and behavioral health issues.
With this background and as I developed clinically, I became passionate about treating post-traumatic stress and traumatic anxiety. I have treated a variety of traumatic experiences in children and adults.
In addition to trauma, I also provide evidenced based treatment and supportive counseling/talk therapy for anxiety, depression, and work/life stress.
I am based in West Ashley. My practice is virtual only at this time. Appointment availability includes weekday evening and Saturday morning appointments.

Regardless of the approach we take, my goal is to help you feel relief, build resilience, and grow in your goals and values.
Sometimes we just need a space to figure things out and have someone witness our struggles. This is always a good place to start.
CBT is based on the idea that our thoughts play a significant role in how we experience our lives. It is a structured, goal oriented therapy that includes symptom management and the processing and re-framing of unhelpful thoughts and beliefs.
CPT is a form of cognitive behavioral therapy for trauma. This is a structured, medium term therapy that includes symptom management, exposure to the traumatic memories, and an emphasis on the processing and re-framing of unhelpful beliefs related to the traumatic event.
PE is a trauma-focused psychotherapy with an emphasis on exposure to the traumatic memories and trauma reminders experienced in daily life to reduce symptoms. PE is a structured medium-term therapy.
